Biftekia (Greek Burgers)


Prep Time: 35 minutes
Yield: 10 burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 red onion (grated)

  • 30g fresh parsley (chopped)

  • 30g fresh mint (chopped)

  • 1 large egg

  • 100g breadcrumbs

  • 500g beef mince (20% fat)

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • Salt & pepper

  • 200ml vegetable oil


Method

  1. Mix onion, herbs, egg, breadcrumbs, mince, and seasoning.

  2. Shape into flat burgers.

  3. Heat oil in pan.

  4. Fry 3–4 mins per side until golden.

  5. Drain on paper towel.


Notes

  • Best served with lemon

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan
